Anyone interested in Trying out for BHS Cheering, please see all the following Mandatory Tryout Practice dates and times. All The practice dates & times below will be held at DeFranco Gymnasium: Friday, 3/6/2020-5:00pm-8:00pm Monday, 3/9/2020-6:00pm-8:45pm Tuesday, 3/10/2020-6:00pm-8:45pm Wednesday, 3/11/2020-6:00pm-8:45pm Thursday, 3/12/2020-6:00pm-8:45pm TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD IN THE WASHINGTON ELEMENTARY GYMNASIUM ON FRIDAY, 3/13/2020 FROM 3:30-? All Cheer Candidates must be on time for all practices with the appropriate clothing and cheer sneakers on. All hair must be pulled up in a high ponytail and away from your face for all practices. Absolutely NO Jewelry or long colored fake/real fingernails. NO cell phones will be permitted during practices. Bring water to drink. Noone is allowed to drink from anyone else’s water bottles. Interested Candidates in trying out for BHS Cheering that need a tryout packet can get a copy outside the High School Athletic Office. Please Do Not dry clean your cheering uniforms. They may only be washed on a gentle cycle or hand washed and hung to dry. Never put them in the dryer. Every uniform must be cleaned and ready to be worn for the next Gameday/events/pep rallies/comps, etc.
Mr. Holland our AD wanted me to pass on this message to all my Cheering Parents regarding our Bangor vs. Pen Argyl 100th Rivalry Game-day and Banquet ticket sales. Tickets for the 100th Rivalry Banquet and Game-day will be both be sold online at Tickets4You. The link will be listed on our website. Banquet Ticket Sales will begin on August 5th, 2019 will be sold for $60.00 each. There will only be 450 Banquet Ticket seats for sale for the public to purchase online. Cheerleaders will be sitting at tables 45, 54 and 55. For Gameday Tickets Presale information! The code is Slatebeltrivalry so all of our parents of players/participants and season ticket holders are able to purchase Presale Gameday Tickets for our 100th Rivalry Game on Saturday, 10/26/19 at 11:30am. No more than (4) tickets for per family for the Presale. Our Game-day ticket Pre-sale will begin Monday, 8/19 to 8/25/19 before it’s open to public sale. Public sale for reserved bleacher tickets will begin on Monday, August 26th at 7:00 AM. No season pass, Colonial League pass, or gold cards (senior citizens) will be accepted. Tickets are $10.00 each. There will be Game day general admission tickets sold for $10.00 each. Thank You!

The Jacket Order has been extended for any Varsity Winter Sports Cheerleader who is interested in Purchasing a Maroon Hooded Rain Coat with your name embroidered on the front right chest, B & Axes on the left chest and Slaters on the back in white glitter. The jackets cost $38.00 plus an additional $3.00 for your embroidered name. REMINDER: All VARSITY participant Gameday Camp Balance Payments of $56.79 were due on Monday, 8/12/19. (Our cheering club paid for half of the camp cost with our Carwash/bake-sale funds from 7/27/19.) Please send your daughter in with a check made out payable to our cheer club to practice on Monday, 8/19/19 to pay her camp balance. (Only if you have not already paid.) The camp will be held on September 16th and 18th from 6pm-9pm at DeFranco Elementary.
