Junior High Head Coach
Biography:
Sam is a 2012 graduate from Bangor High School. During his time there, he played basketball and ran track. Sam attended Temple University where he majored in Biology and minored in Business Management. This is Sam’s first year coaching Basketball.
Dan Heald.
Junior High Volunteer Assistant Coach
Biography:
Daniel graduated from Bangor Area High School in 2022, after being an active member of the basketball, baseball, cross country, and track teams throughout his four years at the school. During that time, he competed as the starting Center of the 2020-2021 men’s basketball team that won Colonial League and District XI 5A Championships, en route to placing in the PIAA Elite 8. He finished his term as a 6 year member of the Bangor basketball program with a senior season that ended before the playoffs.
Following high school, Dan attended Northampton Community College, where he played basketball and achieved an Associate Degree in Business Administration. Currently, Dan is attending East Stroudsburg University as a commuter, studying Business Management. He has also been a long-term intern at Victaulic Company, where he is a data analyst for the global sales team.
Looking to gain experience in coaching, leadership, and developmental skills, Dan is a volunteer assistant for the middle school boys’ basketball team this year.
