Colin Kessler.
Varsity Head Coach
Biography:
Colin Kessler is a 2004 graduate from Pen Argyl High School. Colin played basketball and football while in high school. His football team won the Colonial League his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. His sophomore year his team also won the District XI 2A championship and played in the PIAA 2A State Championship game. He was named to the All-Colonial League Team his senior season. While playing basketball at Pen Argyl, his team won the District XI 2A Championship his senior season. He was named First Team All-Colonial League and All-Area his junior and senior seasons.
Colin graduated from King’s College where he majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. He got a Master’s Degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University. He was a second grade teacher for three years, a fifth grade teacher for ten years, and is in his fourth year of teaching Technology for grades 3-6.
Colin is in his 17th year of coaching high school basketball. He was a Junior High coach at Bangor for 3 seasons, a Junior Varsity coach at Pen Argyl and Northampton, each for one season, a Junior Varsity coach at Bangor for 5 seasons, an Assistant Varsity coach at Bangor for a season, and is in his sixth season as Head Varsity coach at Bangor. He has an overall record of 65-50. In 2020, he led the Slaters to the Colonial League Championship Game and the District XI 5A Semi-Finals Game. In 2021, he led the Slaters to become Colonial League Champions, District XI 5A Champions, and went to PIAA Elite 8.
Colin is married to his wife, Kimberly, and has six-year-old twins who love to cheer on the Slaters!
Jarred Randolph.
Varsity Assistant Coach
Biography:
Jarred graduated from Bangor in 2009. During his time there, he competed in football, basketball, and baseball. As a senior, his football team played for a District XI AAA Championship. He was voted All-League and All-Area as a 1st baseman his junior and senior seasons. Jarred attended Clarion University. He majored in Business Management, as well as having a minor in Sports Management. He has spent ten years on the baseball staff at Bangor; two as assistant Junior Varsity coach, four as head Junior Varsity coach, and four as Varsity Assistant coach. He is in his 11th year on the basketball staff; four as the Junior High boys coach, one as the Junior Varsity coach, and on his 6th season as Varsity Assistant coach.
Ben Childs.
Varsity Volunteer Assistant Coach
Biography:
Coach Childs graduated from Easton Area High School in 1996 lettering multiple years in basketball and baseball for the Red Rovers. Coach Childs then graduated from Lafayette College in 2000 with a degree in History, and was a member of the Leopard baseball team during his time on College Hill. Upon graduation from college, Coach Childs took a job as an 8th grade history teacher in the Easton Area School District, and became the Head Freshman Boys Basketball Coach for the Red Rovers for five seasons. In the years that followed, Coach Childs has served as a Junior Varsity and/or Varsity Assistant Coach at Delaware Valley Regional High School in NJ, Pen Argyl Area High School, and Northampton Area High School. Coach Childs then served as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Easton from 2013-2022. Coach Childs also served as an assistant baseball coach at the varsity and junior varsity levels for 13 seasons at Easton. Currently, Coach Childs is a 12th grade history teacher at Easton Area High School. Coach Childs resides in Washington Township with his wife Jennifer, son Landon, and daughter Tenleigh.
