Boys Varsity Soccer

I am an 8th grade English teacher in the Bangor Area School District. My first coaching experience came with the girls' middle school soccer team in the spring of 2009. From there, I spent 2010 to 2012 serving as the JV Girls' head soccer coach. Meanwhile, I also spent the fall of 2010 and 2011 as the head coach of the Boys' middle school soccer program. where I was able to work with Varsity head coach Dave White. In 2012, I also became the Assistant Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach under Ken Wilson; I served in this position through the 2015 season and in those seasons, we experienced tremendous success as has been the case with our girls program for many consecutive seasons. Finally, I also coached our co-ed middle school teams from 2013 through 2016. As a player, I was a four-year varsity player under Coach Ken Wilson here at Bangor. My freshman team (1999) made the District XI playoffs (2nd time in school history) and lost to Easton in the first round via penalty kicks. In 2001, I became a team captain as a Junior and also served as team captain in 2002, my senior season. During that season, the Bangor Soccer program won its first division title in its history under Coach Wilson, going 12-6-2 overall, where we lost to Southern Lehigh in the Colonial League semifinals and then East Stroudsburg South in the 1st round of the District XI playoffs. In my four years, I was named Team MVP (2002), a Colonial League 2nd team midfielder in 2001 and 2002, and an Express-Times Honorable Mention midfielder in 2001 and 2002. I also rank 3rd in career assists and, most importantly, have come back to my alma mater to continue the success our program has experienced.
